Five Little Stones

Our country is in a serious condition. This time we are fighting a BIG giant. Its time we acted on our beliefs.
God said that if He is for us, who can be against us. I think I know why David slew the giant with five little stones. It was the number of the Pentatuch, where God always prevailed.Who has five stones?

Status Quo

I'm 87, but I'm not in my rocker just yet. Status quo would like to keep me there, but I'm still trying to learn new things. I like to write, but I don't read all that much so I joined the "Reader's Club" where I live, and had to give a book report. I am interested in anything French, so I decided to get David McCullough's latest book "The Greater Journey" Americans in Paris.
It tells of the Americans who came to advance their scientific and cultural aspirations.It is 535 pages of  rivoting interest in the accomplishments of James F. Cooper, Louis Gottschalk, Samuel Morse and George Healey and the list goes on. You also read of their lives through the French Revolution, and how that war affected our way of thinking here in America today.

Embarrasing moments

Get away little giant of embarrasment. I have a motorized scooter chair because of my doctor's recommendation. Much of the time I don't need it, but other times I do. I am embarrased when people ask what is wrong with me.I have diabetic neuropathy, arthritis of my ankles resulting in vasculitis in my legs, hypothyroidism and worst of all, hyperaldosteronism. I don't say this, but just smile and say "My feet hurt."

Little Giants revisited

I heard a sermon today that I wish I had heard sixty years ago. My former husband had all the 3-A vices. My Christian beliefs were that I should "turn the other cheek," and "forgive seventy times seven" no matter what the cost.  I realized today that I was justified in leaving because that's not God's plan for marriage. Good bye little giants.

Little Giants:

Little Giants: My notes paid off. I plunged right in and started writing my next story. I get my ideas while I lay in bed.My little giants become my helpers because they build little bridges from one situation to the next. Many times I get up about 3 AM to put things down on paper.My story is fictional, so I can create a world of my own.
